In the unlikely event of a 7495 Shovel being Struck by lightning, The shovel itself will act as a Faraday cage given the fact that it´s built of conductive metal and solidly connected to ground by the crawlers.
If during maintenance/servicing a 7495 Shovel you´re caught into a weather alert and are not able to evacuate, consider the Shovel as a shelter, go into the operator cab and make sure all windows are up. Do NOT leave the Shovel until all weather alerts have been cleared.
