I am an Africa focussed renewable energy advisor and consultant, eMobility practioner (focusing on bio-based energy inc LOHC and storage), futurist, practical climate warrior, project developer, project manager, speaker, strategic planner, techno-economist and trainer. I am actively involved in and passionate about renewable energy and waste2energy for the mining industry, by rehabilitating mines while creating sustainable post mining green energy businesses to provide climate friendly energy for transportation and power. I believe that Africa's abundant natural resources are the key to sustainable clean growth for the African continent and for a fossil fuel less future for our world. My background: I have extensive experience in the mining & energy utilities sector having held senior roles in large companies, including Eskom, De Beers, Anglo American Platinum and First Uranium. I was previously Chief Financial Officer of an AIM listed company namely Minerva Resources PLC (now Kefi Minerals) in London and hold / have held directorships of private companies. As CPO of Harambe, I am leading a team providing Energy thru Rehabilitation© projects and programmes for the mining industry.Harambe's DieselLessMining© initiative promotes green transport and power storage (#diesellessmining, #hydair, #hydrail, #hydroad, #hydmarine, #power2gas and #virtualmicrogrids) I have also project managed large IT projects at Eskom (Topline 2 Revenue Analysis and Forecasting System – Hyperion Essbase) and at Anglo American Platinum (Project Portfolio Management – SAP xRPM). I co-presented at SAPphire 2007 in Vienna, Austria on “Project Portfolio management as a strategic enabler for growth”. I am the author and co-author of various articles on the new role of the CFO.
