I am developing a system to open up transverse stopes without doing any development for the slot. The stopes are 20m wide, 20 to 30m high with varying lengths. I was wondering whether anybody has come across something like this before?

Sounds like VCR blasting which was developed in the mid 1970s
Are you talking about blind firing? I have worked on this method several times before. There are less conventional loader tonnes and stope extraction process is slower. It is not a preferred method in the Mine I am currently working at. Each mine is different.
The method does work.
