I can give you an example of the use of mining waste for the community development of housing and bridge in and around of town of Dhandad and Jharia, Jharkhand state, India, encompassing Permian Jharia coalfield for last 400 years of the mining history of this coalfield. Waste material is overburden rock of Barakar Sandstone of 1200 kg / sqcm compressive strength, used in Railway bridge piller and all the houses of Railway colony etc. continued to give services for last more than 250 years, which was made during British rules in India.
You can make your field trip in this area.
