Hello dear Sirs,
On OEE(Overall Equipment Effectiveness) calculation we have three OEE factors, Availability, Performance rate and quality rate.
The quality rate being the relationship between the number of units producted and the number of units produced that meet the specification.
Can someone please help me with how to calculate the quality rate in mining plant for exemple at primary crusher circuit where we have the quantity of ore crushing at the end of day, weeks,...
How to know the number of units(ore ) produced that meet the specification and no meet the specs to help us to calculate Quality rate ?

I don't think you can apply quality here, so I'd just put it at 100% - happy to be proven wrong.
My reason for this is that in my mind, crushed material will ideally never NOT meet the specification, that is target maximum particle size as determined by your choice of crusher settings unless something is off (broken). Ideally, material remains in the crusher until it is small enough to pass.
Even if, by chance, an elongated rock chip manages to pass and you know how much of this "defect" material is cycled back: Can you clearly attribute this to the crusher? Remember that your feed is a natural material, in bulk, and that crushing is not exactly a precision "manufacturing" activity.
Thanks i take it,
Regards,
Agree, the "quality" element will be buried inside the 'Performance' figure: Oversize feed will result in slower throughput, as will incorrect operating parameters. Undersize feed may result in higher instantaneious throughput, though this may result in periods of crusher starved (Depends on circit design). Ignore quality, get the other two right.
Thanks
