This presentation highlights the Uranium industry’s current approach to sediment-hosted deposits and presents new exploration strategies.  Preliminary results from an internal company project to build a database of Uranium mines in the US will be shown. Lithofacies in fluvial, shallow marine, eolian siliciclastics and carbonates are documented for Uranium mines across the Colorado Plateau to determine the conditions needed for Uranium entrapment. Examples from well-known mining districts including Uravan, Slickrock, Rifle, Henry Mountains, Ambrosia Lake, Grants and more will be discussed.
