This article talks about potential of industry 4.0 for a better tomorrow focusing on effective surveying & Planning based on challenges of remote locations. Using VR Technology to accomplish the deliverables training in actual mining environment including enhancing safety & Emergency response capability.
For a continuous miner training simulator on production training, configurable mine layout, remote coaching for problem resolution from trainer station, cable management, safety training, proximity detection including roof fall event can be simulated. There are other techologies involving RTLS which pin point the exact location of miners in underground mining. This can be very useful in mining industry.
