Production of industrial emulsion explosive materials in Ukraine.

The leaders in the production of industrial emulsion explosive materials in Ukraine are the companies:

- Krivbassvzryvprom (EE "Emonit"), 1 plant 60 000tn/year

- Intervzryvpromprom, together with its subsidiary Zapadukrvzryvprom (EE Anemiks), 4 plants;

- Promvzryv (EE Ukrainit), 1 plant;

- Pavlograd Chemical Plant (EE "Era"), 1 plant;

- Unigran Service (EE Granemit), 1 plant.

In the production of industrial emulsion explosives, two technologies are used:

- based on a mono-solution of ammonium nitrate;

- based on a binary solution of ammonia and calcium nitrate.

Both technologies are presented on the market in a ratio of 50/50, despite the higher cost of binary solutions.

The production of industrial emulsion explosives in Ukraine has a number of risks associated with:

- the instability of the supply of ammonium nitrate (the main component);

- the high cost of the component of the fuel and energy phase of imported production - Lubrizol;

- confusion in the legislation governing the circulation of explosive materials;

- outdated transport equipment - "mixing and charging machines."

At the same time, the Ukrainian blasting market is estimated at about $ 100 million / year, a significant part of which is the Metinvest, Ferrexpo mining and processing plants, iron ore mines and non-metallic open-pit deposits - granites and limestones.
