I want to share with you a new brief presentation about the LiDAR Image Highlighting Algorithm (LIHA), see below the PDF file link, that allows to highlight any subtle topographic changes present in the ground LiDAR data.
The LiDAR images with LIHA applied can be very useful for the following studies: geological, mining, geotechnical, geomorphological, hydrological, archaeological, environmental, civil engineering, irrigation, agricultural, etc.
The LiDAR image of a wooded area from the United States of America, with and without the LIHA applied, is shown in the attached presentation. I recommend downloading the presentation to better analyze its images.
The LIHA can also be applied on Synthetic-Aperture Radar (SAR) data.
