I assume you are referring to underground development blasting.
For the cut area:
- Review cut drilling to ensure holes are correct length and parallel (when using burn cut)
- Review charging quality to ensure primers are located at the toe of the blast hole
- Increase number or size of the void holes in the cut area
- Skip delay numbers to slöw the cut initiation sequence (I suggest at least 25-30 ms delay per meter of hole length)
- Reduce dimensions of the cut spacing < 2.5 x void diamter
For sockets in the perimeter area (Dishing):
- As for the cut, review drilling quality and holes are parallel
- Charging and stemming practises
- Review initiation sequence to ensure adequate burden relief (no tight corners)
- Use next delay in corners of the blast to allow for delay scatter
- Reduce drill burdens/spacings
What type of explosives are you using and type of initiation system?
