My law firm Fisher & Phillips, in conjunction with the Pittsburgh Coal Mining Institute of America and the Pennsylvania Coal Alliance are putting on a mining safety and health law seminar held on June 27, 2019. The program has been historically centered around coal mining but this year we have a lot of topics geared toward metal/non-metal mining and employment law (i.e., medical marijuana in the workplace). Additionally, the new Chairman of the United States Federal Mine Safety and Health Review Commission and the Administrator of Enforcement for Mine Safety and Health Administration are speaking.
