Many Mining Professionals use Excel but are not familiar with available functionality.  Knowing more about Excel functionality has numerous benefits: namely workbooks can be error-free, easy to understand and automated.  Hence, this Excel course is targeted to minining industry professionals (with quantitative roles) who would like to substantially increase their workable knowledge.

The course will conist of 12 two hour sessions.  Atttendees only have to pay and attend sessions that are of interest.  The course is specifically targeted toward engineers and scientists.

Example sessions include:

  1. Formatting skills
  2. Cell Styles
  3. Fifteen most common Excel functions
  4. Relative referencing formulas
  5. Introduction to Named Ranges
  6. Data Validation and Conditional Formatting
  7. Flowcharts and Flowchart navigation
  8. Advanced functions
  9. Effective use of Templates
  10. Charts
  11. Excel Tables
  12. Pivot Tables

The sessions will involve numerous exercises.

Customised courses are also available on request.

Whilst this course could be considered as Fundamental to Advanced, and the target participants are those who have to: understand or modify existing workbooks, or create stand-alone workbooks.
